About DiveFind

DiveFind is an all-in-one resource built for divers. Whether you're planning your next trip, researching a dive site, comparing equipment, looking for a reputable shop, or trying to answer a technical question, DiveFind brings the information, tools, and community together in one place.

Explore an ever-growing directory of dive shops and popular dive sites, with links to operators that service those locations whenever available. Read current dive and ocean news, browse equipment reviews, and use practical dive tools for MOD, equivalent air depth, nitrox calculations, gas consumption, SAC/RMV, cylinder capacity, pressure conversions, buoyancy and weighting, and more. Our goal is to keep expanding the toolbox until the most useful dive calculations and references are available in one place.

DiveFind is also built around the diving community. Use the forums to ask questions, share knowledge, and discuss equipment, destinations, techniques, and experiences. Create private group chats to organize dive trips, coordinate schedules, and keep everyone on the same page. When you need a quick answer, DiveFind's AI assistant is available for dive-related questions without forcing you to search through multiple websites.

DiveFind works best when paired with the DiveFind app, which is designed to complement the website and make it easier to access your dive information, tools, saved content, and community features wherever you are.

The site will continue to grow with new dive sites, shops, tools, reviews, articles, and community features as they become available. The goal is simple: make DiveFind a place where divers can research, plan, learn, communicate, and find the information they need without jumping between half a dozen different services.

Individual member access will be free for the first six months. After that, individual access will be $2.99 per month to help cover the cost of operating, maintaining, and expanding DiveFind. Dive shop accounts will have a separate rate; we are considering $9.99 per month for shops.

Information you provide

If you create an account, DiveFind uses your email address and sign-in details to manage access. You can also sign in through Google. If you submit a diver note or forum post, we store its text, date, your account identifier, and a display name. Approved notes and forum posts are visible to visitors. DiveFind stores your username, optional profile details, and a chosen icon or cropped photo. Your username and profile picture are visible to signed-in members. Optional profile details are shown to signed-in members when you save them, unless you uncheck their visibility option. You can change that choice later. Your email address is never shown in member profiles; it is used privately to manage your account and match room invitations. Private chat rooms store room names, membership, and messages. Dive logs and finds entered on this site are private unless you choose Share for a specific record. Shared record text and dates appear on your member profile. Certification ribbons are self reported; dive milestone ribbons count site log entries, not independently verified dives. Only accepted room members can view room messages; the service operator may access stored content for administration or legal obligations. Do not put private coordinates or sensitive personal information in a note.

Questions and third-party services

Public forum submissions and diver notes may be processed through OpenAI for moderation. Private room messages are not sent for AI review. Account sign-in uses Supabase. Forecast ZIP lookups use Zippopotam.us, and selected coordinates are sent to the National Weather Service for forecasts. The browser shares your current location only if you choose Use my location and allow it. News, dive shop, and source links open other sites with their own privacy practices. If you use Google sign-in, Google’s Privacy Policy also applies.

Contact

Dive shop registration details are used to verify business affiliation and are visible only to site administrators. A registered shop may send private messages to the admin; the account email is included so the admin can reply.
